Retrained Racehorses

FOR SALE - MILITARY GREEN (Haribo)
16.2hh 11yo bay French TB gelding.
£4,000ono.
Competed regularly over the last couple of years at British Dressage with 32 points at Novice level, regular placings & qualified for the Area Festival 2019 Novice Bronze section. He has started Elementary tests & is slowly improving upon scores on each outing with 7 points accumulated & 1st place in his most recent Bronze section. He also competed for the local Riding Club doing his first Dressage to Music too & then improved on this at his next BD outing achieving 1st place in the Novice Bronze section with 67.78%. Should go well in a double bridle, can do lateral work & learning flying changes over a pole. Raced on the flat seven times as a 3yo, winning once at Redcar, trained by Tim Easterby & has Northern Dancer & Green Desert bloodlines.
Ideal for RoR/BD dressage or would likely do well in RoR ridden show classes. Currently enjoying jumping small fences (80cm) at home & xc schooling locally. Would need confidence slowly building & technique developing to compete at low level eventing or SJ. Can get very lit up out hacking & away from home so definitely not a novice ride. Can be quirky to handle too. Gets stressed in the stable so needs to be out as much as possible & really benefitted from open stable door & free range of yard this winter. Very good to turnout with company (& with sheep!) & loves to play but has never hurt his little Shetland companion. Snaffle mouth, good with traffic, to clip, shoe, catch, load & travel.
Was originally bought as a 4yo as a project but took a good few years to mature & strengthen & I have grown so fond of him it has been hard to reach the decision to part with him. As I am not often functioning at 100% due to autoimmune problems, he would likely improve & excel with a different partnership. Suitable (& preferably forever home) of most importance so prospective buyers would be encouraged to try out multiple times & can be met in due course at local arenas or SJ/XC facilities to try away from home. Looking a million dollars at this time of year & in regular work & easy to keep fit so ready to go out & do a job.
For his full pedigree please click on PEDIGREE, for British Dressage results please click on BRITISH DRESSAGE & for racing record please click on RACE RECORD. Visits by arrangement only & social distancing to be strictly adhered to. Please do get in touch with any questions or to arrange a viewing.
